Ruschoff Director of Information Technology & Technical Services University of Maryland at College Park   The Open Library Environment (OLE) Project is planning a community-designed, open-source alternative to the traditional integrated library system. With funding from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, a multinational group of libraries is convening the library community to develop a design for a next-generation library system using Service Oriented Architecture and open source technologies.
