The 1996 Fall Task Force Meeting to be held December 6 and 7 will highlight an exciting new small group program element that we termed "issue collaboratories." The program will provide an opportunity for a highly interactive, focused, sustained exchange about current issues. The four planned issue collaboratory sessions are:
- Are campus copyright and other intellectual property policies too little too late or too much too soon?
- Is it getting more or less difficult to train and support faculty to use the Web?
- Who should select, fund, provision, operate, and support distributed information resources and services?
- Is there a good method to manage access to technological resources that are in high demand; and to ration scholarly material such as publications for which there is not enough funds?
All of the sessions are scheduled for 4 p.m. on Friday December 6 and will run for 90 minutes.
