Those who suffered the Enclosure Act in Britain and those who suffered
the Depression - both of which forced people off the land - might
disagree re/"less than destructive". Even more would disagree those in
the Third World, such as Chiapas, whose agricultural economies are being
intentionally destroyed by IMF policies for the benefit of corporate
agribusiness.
