Wow, That's what I like about the internet. People of all walks of life
can describe their vision. Vigdor would have us forget compassionate
capitalism in favor of social elitism where he gets to choose what is
good for all of us. Gee, call me nuts, but I'd say one of the reason
that we attract people to this country from around the world is that
this is a free society (nah, not totally free, Vigdor) where we can care
compassionately and passionately about our dreams and work to achieve
some measure of success.

I suppose one would have a pretty dark view of class, to assume that
most people involved in free enterprise would do so only to hurt and to
harm another class or even society as a whole. Our democracy allows
free enterprise and has "safe guards" (nah, not totally safe) against
abuses through our government elected by and for the people.

If we assume that capitalism is of itself, evil, only interested in
profit above all human concerns, well, I just have to say, you don't
live in the same America that I do. I for one am proud of what we have
accomplished. Though I had hoped such a LIST as this would have given
us a few more positive approaches to help everyone enjoy the benefits
that our society has created. If we are free, are we not free to also
create a compelling future for our families and our society? I hope so.
Thanks!

Ahhh, an apt quote!
