Am I missing something?
Like it or not, we live in a capital society. Like it or not, we also
live in a democracy.
Suggesting an overthrow of the system is neither realistic or a
solution.
While Victor may be correct in suggesting that there are problems with
the system (and I'm not convinced capitalism and democracy can each
necessaryily exist without the other), Jamie is also more than correct
to suggest that individuals and, by extension, the collective public,
can make a difference. This has been shown time and time again in
social and political battles in this "capital democracy" in ways too
numerous to mention.
