DON FOSHEE KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT GLDII OPENING CEREMONY
The organizers of Global Learn Day II, a worldwide event that will be
webcast on October 10 and 11, 1998, announced today that Mr. Don
Foshee, Founder and President of Innovative Interactions, Inc., of
Austin, Texas, will be the Keynote Speaker at the Opening Ceremony on
Guam.
A recognized pioneer in his field for two decades, Don Foshee has
designed, built, and managed some of the largest and most successful
distance learning, training, and telemedicine networks in the U.S., all
utilizing a wide range of technologies. Mr. Foshee's credits include:
Systems Analyst for NASA's early Space Shuttle program, past Vice
President of the TI-IN Network, Designer and Director of Oregon ED-NET,
Designer of several other statewide networks, former president of the
United States Distance Learning Association, and founder of the Texas
Distance Learning Association.
Currently, he is the Project Manager and Chief Information Officer of
the Western Governor's University (WGU), which university membership
stretches from Texas to Guam. (For more information about Mr. Foshee,

Mr. Foshee remarks will follow the Honorable Carl T.C. Gutierrez,
Governor of Guam.
According to the Director of Communications, Linda Riddell, Global Learn
Day II is "part expedition, part exhibition, part experiment..and all
Conference". Presentations will be webcast by those heavily involved in
distance education from all over the world.
