Re: occasional free market/market failure catfights
on this list

I am glad members of this list have a variety of political
positions -- it is tempting to clash wits.

As Cook, Farber and a few others have pointed out recently -- we
have some serious business to attend to in Washington.

As Coralee Whitcomb noted in the TPR-NE forum last night --
there is a window of time -- now -- in which the future of the
information structure will be cast and that window will narrow
later.

No one of us knows 'the answer.' That is why we have the democracy
as our form of government.

We also don't know what affect we on this list can really have on
the process. Lists are new. Politics and lobbyist's are old.

This is a time to combine the new and the old. We all benefit from
information on this list (and others). We need, now, to take that
benefit and translate it into telephone calls and letters -- part
of the old system.

Don't let history pass us by!

Curt
