Subject:  GILS Conference - Reminder


Several weeks ago we sent a notice to the GILS List about the GILS
Conference to be held at the National Archives in College Park on
November 13 and 14.  Early registration for the conference has been
heavy; there are already close to 200 registrants.  

There is room for only 300 participants.  Therefore, if you're 
interested in attending you should register as soon as possible to 
ensure a place.

The two-day conference is designed to bring together the diverse
communities that have an interest in GILS to examine critical issues 
and perspectives.  Keynote speeches and panel discussions will examine
technical and managerial issues, implementors? and users? experiences,
and future directions.

GILS Conference website at <http://www.dtic.mil/gils/>.  You can 
register at the website or send an e-mail message to <gils@arch2.nara.gov>.
