About ARL-JAPAN |
The address of the forum is: ARL-JAPAN@ARL.ORG
ARL-JAPAN is a public forum to encourage user feedback about network access to the scientific and technical journal literature of Japan published in Japanese.
The sponsors of the ARL-JAPAN list intend for it to serve users and librarians by encouraging feedback or general comment from scientists, engineers, faculty, graduate students, or others who seek access to Japanese language scientific and technical information (STI). Of special interest is comment on the kind of information access and delivery services that are most useful.
The list is an activity of the Japan STI Project, one of a trio of demonstration projects testing the readiness of the North American information infrastructure to provide users with network based access to distributed collections of scientific and scholarly resources that are published outside of North America. The demonstration projects are undertaken by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and the Association of American Universities. For more information, see the AAU/ARL/NCC Japanese Journal Access Project web site.
