The ACRL Electronic Reserves Discussion Group will meet at the ALA
Mid-Winter conference on Sunday, January 11 from 8:30 -11:00 a.m.  The
meeting is tentatively scheduled to convene at the Westin Hotel.  Please
check your ALA program for verification. 

The agenda for this meeting is as follows:

Practical Matters: Day to Day Issues of Electronic Reserves Services

  8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Copyright Guidelines:
	Does your service have a best use practices statement?
        How might you create a copyright guidelines statement for your
          e-reserves service?
        Short presentations from libraries who have a policy.

  9:30-10:15 a.m. Staffing Issues:
        How do you staff your Reserves service? How to find the 
        staff and expertise to provide electronic reserves.
        Panel discussion with librarians who are working to find
        solutions to the staffing issues.

 10:15-10:30 a.m. Report by Lorre Smith on the FAQ about Electronic
       Reserves which she has been compliling

 10:30-11:00 a.m. Open Mike:
        A chance to ask the audience about  a problem
        which you face or a chance to share a solution which you've 
        found


Your participation at this meeting is encouraged! The program has been
designed to encourage audience discussion about the various aspects of
creating an electronic reserves service and/or to respond to the
challenges an e-reserves service generates on a day to day basis.
Regardless of whether you currently provide a high-tech, high volume
service, or you are just beginning, this meeting should provide helpful
tips.
