Subject: Acrobat Capture/File Size

We have just started looking into sacnning documents for electronic
reserves. I would like to hear from anyone that uses Acrobat Capture
2.0. When we scan a document into pdf format the file size seems to
be large. A five page article is about 500,00 bytes. My question is
how does one reduce file size but at the same time the quality
remains the same? Is there a particular format that is better then
another. Thanks
