I have found the discussion regarding Fair Use most illuminating. In
addition to the discussion of the "one semester time limitation" I would
like to question the necessity of limiting access to students enrolled in
a specific class. This is not commonly done in paper reserve operations
and I don't see the necessity in an Electronic Environment.

Looking at the factors of fair use - the purpose of the use - scholarship-
would only be enhanced by having access to other students. If a student
in a Physics class wants to look ahead to see what a more advanced Physics
class is studying - why would this be against fair use? This would be
assisting in the student's scholarship. Why should it be discouraged?

I'd be interested in what other folks think.
