We are planning on changing the way we run our Reserve operation next
year. Our current system is very time consuming and involves library
staff doing a lot of running around after materials that lecturers want
in short-loan collections.

We have some serious ideas in mind (going electronic), but would like to
hear from other Academic libraries to see what kind of service you offer
in Reserve.

When an lecturer wants a book in Reserve do they have to bring it to the
Reserve staff? If they want a journal article do they have to provide it
themselves? Does anyone scan course materials onto the Web and if so
what software are you using?

Is anyone else out there *seriously* running an electronic reserve and
if so please send your web address to this list.

I know that this was discussed some time ago - could someone provide me
with the archive address please?

Thanks
Alison
