I'm Reserve Librarian at Macquarie University and was interested to
readof your 'booking module' in your open reserve collection. Which
automated system do you have, and how complicated is your booking
system? We don't have an automated booking system as yet, we have the
CLSI/GEAC Libs100+ which is rumoured to have a module forthcoming. Ours
is a closed reserve so everything must be borrowed to leave the area.
At the moment we fiddle around with bits of paper for booking items,
and often find that items are often not collected. It can also be very
time consuming, especially during the first 6 weeks of semester.
I'd appreciate it if you could let me have any information you might
have to make our lives a bit less stressful here!
